Everything below is something I run my own affiliate sites with — from hosting to AI to translation to traffic. Some links are affiliate links, which means if you sign up through them I earn a commission (usually at no extra cost to you, and sometimes with a discount attached). I only list tools I personally use or have used long enough to recommend. If you're new here, start with the WordPress setup guide.
Where your site lives matters more than people give it credit for. Slow hosts kill rankings and conversions. The setup process across the major providers is broadly similar — I've put together a full walkthrough in the domain & WordPress setup guide that you can follow regardless of which host you pick.
Besides Namecheap (which I use for most domain registration), here are the hosts I genuinely recommend.
Affordable, flexible, and lets you pick which continent your site is hosted on — useful for SEO when targeting a specific region. A single plan can host many sites, which keeps costs predictable as you scale into a small portfolio.
Visit HostingerA familiar starting point with a very similar setup flow to the other big providers. Solid choice if you want a no-surprises onboarding and don't need region-specific hosting.
Visit BluehostManaged cloud hosting for when you've outgrown shared plans. You pick the underlying cloud provider (DigitalOcean, Vultr, AWS, etc.) and Cloudways handles the stack on top. Good middle ground between cheap shared hosting and full DevOps.
Visit CloudwaysIf I had to pick one today for a brand new site, it would be Hostinger — the per-site economics and the regional hosting flexibility are hard to beat at this price point. Move to Cloudways when you've got traffic that needs more horsepower.
AI is now part of every step of my workflow — from brainstorming briefs, to drafting outlines, to producing first drafts that I edit afterwards. These are the tools doing the heavy lifting.
My all-purpose workhorse for ideation, summarising, scripting, and quick research. Used daily alongside Claude depending on the task.
Bulk AI content generation tuned for SEO-aware article output. Useful when you need volume without the back-and-forth of prompting from scratch every time.
Visit Cuppa.aiTracks how your brand or content shows up inside answers from large language models. As more search traffic shifts into AI assistants, knowing whether you're being cited matters.
Visit LLM PulseYou don't need a hundred tools — you need two or three good ones you actually use. These are the ones I keep open.
The gold standard for backlink analysis and keyword research. Worth the spend once you're past the hobbyist stage.
The other big one. Pick whichever interface clicks for you — both Ahrefs and Semrush will get you 90% of the way for most projects.
Don't pay for both Ahrefs and Semrush at the same time when you're starting out. Pick one, learn it deeply, and you'll get more out of it than splitting attention between two.
Where the actual money comes from. Some are broad networks with thousands of advertisers; others are direct programs for specific verticals I work in.
ShareASale is now part of Awin — same access, much larger combined advertiser pool. One of the first networks I joined and still one of the most reliable for sign-ups in mainstream niches.
Join via ShareASale · Visit AwinPowers a huge chunk of premium brand affiliate programs. If a big-name SaaS or D2C brand has a partner program, there's a good chance it's running on Impact.
Visit ImpactAggregator for searching across hundreds of affiliate networks at once. Useful when you're hunting for a specific offer or comparing payouts across networks.
Visit AffPlusOne of the largest CPA networks, with a deep catalogue of offers across verticals — including dating, AI companion apps, and adult-adjacent traffic monetisation. If that's where your traffic lives, this is the network.
Join CrakRevenueAnother strong CPA network and a good home for AI Girlfriend / AI companion offers and dating verticals. Worth applying alongside CrakRevenue so you can split-test offers across both.
Join CpamaticaDirect affiliate program for the CooMeet video chat platform. Solid recurring potential in the dating / video chat niche if you've got the right audience.
Join CooMeetDating, AI companion, and adult-adjacent offers usually pay better per conversion than mainstream verticals — but they also require platform-compliant traffic sources. Don't blindly run them through paid channels without reading the network's terms.
Two platforms cover almost everything I outsource: one for general freelance work and design, one specifically for guest posting and link building.
Where I source design, voiceovers, illustrations, video edits, and one-off technical fixes. The trick is knowing how to write a brief — most "Fiverr horror stories" come from vague instructions, not bad sellers.
Visit FiverrMy go-to for buying guest posts and outreach-style links. Inventory is searchable by niche, DR, traffic, and price — far less back-and-forth than blind outreach. Use this when you need link building without running a full outreach operation yourself.
Visit iCopify"The trick with Fiverr isn't finding the right seller — it's writing a brief tight enough that any decent seller can deliver against it."
Translating content unlocks markets your competitors are ignoring. Pair a machine translator with a WordPress plugin and you can have a multilingual site in a weekend.
The plugin I use to manage translated versions of pages on WordPress. Visual editor, integrates with the automatic translation engines below, easy to override machine output where it matters.
Generally the highest-quality machine translation across European languages. Worth using as the default and only falling back to Google for languages it doesn't cover.
The widest language coverage. Use it as a fallback for anything DeepL doesn't support, or as a quick second opinion when a phrase feels off.
Repurposing written content into video is one of the highest-leverage moves for any content site. A blog post you already wrote can become a YouTube short, a TikTok, and an Instagram reel in an afternoon.
I use Veed to turn written posts into short-form videos for social media — automated captioning, AI voice cloning, and clean templates. Best single tool I've found for converting articles into video content at scale.
Visit Veed.ioFor everything else — featured images, social graphics, simple infographics, slide decks. Not the most powerful tool, but the fastest one for getting good-enough design done.
If you're just getting started, the only ones you actually need on day one are a domain, a host, and a writing tool. Add the rest as the workload demands them — not before.
